The Sign Makers’ Village

New to SDUK this year is The Sign Makers’ Village. Split into different educational zones, print service providers and sign makers of all kinds will be able to see live demonstrations and get hands-on with different aspects of sign making.

Whether that’s traditional sign writing, gilding or architectural wrapping, stepping inside The Sign Makers’ Village will surely open your eyes to the opportunities available in this sector.

Also making up part of The Sign Makers’ Village is experienced sign maker Paul Hughes, who returns once again to host The Sign Makers’ Workshop. Whether you are a vinyl veteran or taking your first steps into vinyl application, Paul will be on standby to provide all the tips and tricks of the trade.

But if learning more about the practicalities of running a print business is more your thing, then make sure you attend one of the informal sessions hosted by the British Sign & Graphics Association. You can expect to hear from organisations such as The Printing Charity, Women in Signs and Graphics, FESPA UK and the BSGA itself as representatives discuss all the pressing matters currently affecting our industry today. Visitors can join in discussions or just sit back in a comfy chair and enjoy listening to what’s going on around them.
